The Uncomfortable Truth: Geography doesn’t fix unhappiness

If you don’t like yourself here, you won’t like yourself there.

There is a massive misconception that “Alignment” is a location on a map.

We convince ourselves that the only reason we are stressed, anxious, or uninspired is because of the city we live in or the weather outside.

But here is the uncomfortable truth I’ve learned from living out of a suitcase:

Anxiety has a passport.

Insecurity fits in the overhead bin.

Burnout loves a beach view.

If you don’t know how to sit with yourself in a messy apartment on a rainy Tuesday, you aren’t going to suddenly find peace just because you’re drinking a coconut. You’ll just be anxious with a tan.

Travel is an incredible teacher. It expands the world.

But it is not a magic eraser for your internal state.

Go travel to explore. Don’t travel to escape.

Because wherever you go, there you are.
